Whitchurch Saints Team
Saints 1XI Team
The Saints 1st XI gained promotion from South Wales Prem 1 at the end of the 2024/25 season and will now compete in the West of England Prem division. This squad comprises a mix of youth and experience and provides a competitive and enjoyable atmosphere for performance hockey.
They train on a Monday at NHC from 7-9pm under the coaching leadership of David and Mark.
1 XI – Captains – Jo Williams / Meg James
The Saints 2nd XI fought hard last year to stay in South Wales Prem 1, showing grit and determination. With a mix of experience and youthful energy, the team look forward to another challenging and rewarding season.
They train on a Monday at NHC from 7-9pm under the coaching leadership of David and Mark.
2XI – Captains – Meg Greenhalgh / Vicky Smith / Caitlin De-Reaper

Saints 3XI Team
The Saints 3rd XI play in Premier 2 of the South Wales Hockey League. This is a competitive league to play in and they have a determined and social outlook which keeps them playing as high as they can.
This season, they train on a Wednesday at USW, Treforest from 7-9pm along with the 4s under the coaching leadership of Sarah and Ceryn.
3XI – Captain – Kath Rees
The Saints 4th XI play in Division 2 of the South Wales League. The team normally reflects the whole range of ages in the club and forms a well balanced squad of youth and experience who perform well in their league.
They train on a Wednesday at USW, Treforest from 7-9pm along with the 3s under the coaching leadership of Sarah and Ceryn.
4XI – Captain – TBC

Saints 5XI Team
The Saints 5th XI play in Division 4 and, last season, were pleased to reach the final of the South Wales League Cup. The team provides a friendly and competitive environment, and encourages everyone to keep developing and enjoying playing hockey.
They are coached by Bev and Ceryn and train on a Monday from 7-9pm at Fitzalan High School.
5XI – Captain – Lizzie Taylor
The Saints 6th XI play in Division 5 of the South Wales League and provide opportunities for everyone to play no matter if you’re new to hockey, have not played in years or are somewhere in between. Training sessions help to develop skills and matches give the opportunity to put the hard work into action.
They are coached by Bev and Ceryn and train on a Monday from 7-9pm at Fitzalan High School.
