Whitchurch Hockey Club are delighted to announce that Adam Broomfield is returning to the club for the season 2019/2020 as WHC Saints Head Coach.

Adam’s main focus will be Saints 1’s and 2’s with Daryl Kisby taking the lead for teams 3-6. They will be working very much as a team in conjunction with the clubs assistant coaches.

Adam played hockey from the age of 13 for Exeter Culm Vale Hornets before joining Whitchurch Hockey Club in 2014. He played Goalkeeper at 1st team level for both clubs and in the European championships for Whitchurch.

At the age of 21 Adam started his coaching career when he was invited to coach in schools in Fiji. He has since coached Men’s and Women’s teams at a variety of levels and has recently been appointed to coach at the Cathedral School. Significantly he coached WHC Saints 1’s when they represented Wales in Vienna at the European outdoor championships for the first time in the clubs history and coached the indoor team to their first Welsh Indoor cup win which qualified them for the European indoor championships. Again for the first time in the clubs history.

Adam has completed his L2 UKCC Coaching certificate and with soon be starting the GB advanced coaching programme.

He is looking forward to starting an exciting season with Whitchurch Saints and taking the club to the next level.
