Safeguarding Workshop

Please make every effort to attend a safeguarding course for all our members who come into contact with youth players. This will be all senior Captains and Coaches, all youth coaches, assistants, and organisers etc. who come into contact with our youth players on any level.

For the good Governance of our club we need safeguarding of our young players to be watertight so WHC are calling on members to treat this seriously and attend what will be a very informative and important session at Whitchurch Rugby club on Thursday 12th March at 7pm.

Anyone who does not attend may be required to sit a safeguarding course at their own expense at a later date if they have any contact with children as part of their involvement with the club.

Things that will be covered include:

$1·         Social Media

$1·         Travelling with children

$1·         Using appropriate language

$1·         Working with children with disabilities

$1·         Working with vulnerable adults

$1·         DBS guidance

$1·         When and how to contact children

$1·         Reporting injuries

$1·         Pressures on children to compete

The workshop will be delivered in guidelines set by NSPCC, Child Protection in Sport Unit.

Please let your captains or committee know if you are unable to attend.
