Here it is, hot off the press, the announcement you've all stayed up glued to your computers for . . . the unveiling of the new head coach!!

Whitchurch HC are pleased to announce that Greg Mill has agreed to become ‘Club Head Coach’. Greg will oversee all the coaching activities of the women’s section of the club as well the performance elements of the men’s club (1st & 2nd XI).

Greg joins the club with a wealth of experience both playing and coaching.  Having represented Australia u21’s he has gone on to carve out a highly successful coaching career working at both state level in Australia which included winning the State League championship in 2011 with Old Xaverians Hockey club and prior to that as Head Coach at Puk University in South Africa where he also spent time working with the South African senior women’s side.

Greg moved to the UK last year and subsequently spent the 13/14 season working with Burnt Ash HC in Kent whilst also undertaking coaching activities for England Hockey.

Greg will be moving to Cardiff with his wife Karen (who is a primary school teacher) and will be taking up his post on the 1st July in order that a ‘red hot’ pre-season is fully implemented.

The club would like to place on record it thanks to Graham Charlesworth who has very successfully held the 1st XI coaching reins over the past twelve months.  Graham has a long and successful coaching career ahead of him and we hope he continues to remain involved in Whitchurch HC.
